Suggested compromise (if one is actually needed): “Dreamers” under 21 who wish to stay can enlist in the military for a minimum 5 year hitch. No service, no stay.
Round up, ALL illegals and send em back to from whence they came.

They can dream in Mexico. If they are really that magical, maybe they can fix that nation.
The Roman Empire tried this.
One important difference was that Arminius was a Roman hostage - he was forced to stay in Rome as a guarantee that his people would obey Rome. That tends to lead to resentment, quite a lot of resentment. No such issue would be in play for this. Also, if we don’t want to have them in the military we could bring back the WPA and CCC and have them serve there for 8 years. No military skills would be transferred then. :P
