A Houston man is on the hook for $65,000 in child support for a child that's not his.
Gabriel Cornejo, 45, took a DNA test proving a child his ex-girlfriend had 16 years ago was not his.
The test was too late. In 2003, a child support court in Houston ruled that Cornejo owed his ex-girlfriend child support because, she claims, there was no way he wasn't the father.

Yep. So much for “feminism.” I don’t see any NON custodial mothers worry about THIS pay gap.
Judges will go out of their way to make sure even the well-heeled NON-custodial MOM doesn’t have to pay CS the way her male counterpart would.

Don’t forget the government “incentive.” The local CSEU has NO reason to ever grant a legitimate downward modification to the non-custodial FATHER due to hardship OR even have the correct father for that matter. Whomever can pay the most is all they care about.
Even if the mother is NOT on social services, the local CSEU will INSIST that all CS goes through them, especially in BLUE states. Therefore the local CSEU agency gets extra fed $$$$ due to Title IV.
He should sue her for decimation and the damages her lying in court caused him.... DNA doesn’t lie.... he should get back every thing he paid plus all attorney fees plus damages.
the mother should have some financial responsibility as well. She shouldn’t be able to sit on her ass and collect CS for her “lifestyle.”
That wouldn’t be in the GOVERNMENT’S best interest. He has no recourse. There have many other cases like this. The guy just has to suck it up. It is akin to false rape accusations. The female seldom pays for lying.

It’s things like this that make me think you have to be really stupid with no common-sense to be a judge.
A friend of mine’s husband of 15 years left her via email message and moved to Las Vegas. She went to court and got child support for their two daughters and he visited them occasionally. Then he met up with a stripper, married her, after 18 months she left him. No kids between them, but the state of Nevada ordered him to pay her alimony of $1600 a month. Add that to his child support, he couldn’t afford to live anywhere but his car. So he just quit his job, lives in his car, and no one gets anything. My friend doesn’t really blame him, she blames the state for giving a woman that was only married to him for 18 months and has no kids half of his salary with no care about the kids he has.
I knew a Maintenance guy at work, same situation. He proved the Kids his wife had were by her “Boyfriend”, but he had to pay them $600 monthly and $10,000 up front. The Leftist Women Judge wouldn’t allow him to even speak in his own Defense.

Also you can deep six the “mom is the one that is caring for the kids at home” crap. Most of today’s modern mommies are stay-in-bed moms or stay-online-all-day moms.
My husband’s ex-shrew would have the kids in rags, dirty and unkempt/unclean/ungroomed for the short time he was “allowed” to have visitation. This is a COMMON theme since there is NO accounting for the recipient of CS.
