Mueller and Trump Prepare for War with America the Loser

Much of America Will Not Tolerate Mueller Undoing the Election

Watergate ended with a whimper, not a bang. After months of sturm und drang, Richard Nixon finally mounted that helicopter, gave that famous farewell peace sign and flew away. Most Americans were relieved to see him go. Our long national nightmare was over.

If something similar happens to Donald Trump, it will be entirely different. A significant portion of the American public — myself admittedly among them — will be convinced he has been railroaded in a partisan hatchet job. The voters who elected the president are going to feel, at the very least, undermined, more likely betrayed, by their own government and public officials. Many are going to feel this has nothing to do whatsoever with justice and will act accordingly.

The exact results of this mammoth national split are not easy to predict but they could range from massive civil disobedience to outright civil war.

The behavior of special prosecutor Robert Mueller has exacerbated the situation. Even CNN admits he has staffed his investigation almost exclusively with Democratic Party supporters and donors. It's hard to say whether this is brazen or stupid or both, but it certainly doesn't lend credibility to his eventual decisions. At the very least it's extremely unsophisticated for a former director of the FBI — but perhaps that's really the way it is. Nothing (and no one) can stand in the way of prosecution.

And then there are the leaks that emerge from his supposedly confidential investigation at seemingly a mile a minute pace.....

The leaks are the reason for the investigation. Mueller isn’t going to find anything. However he can beat Trump over the head for 4 years with leaks.

He needs to be fired.

Pitchforks, ropes and torches may soon be seen on the streets of America if this goes the way it seems to be going. That tree may be well watered in a year of two.

I really do think the leaks are about Mueller trying to goad Trump into breaking the law. At least that is what they did when they trashed Martha Stewart’s reputation before finally convicting her of a cover-up when there was no crime.

The author is right, Trump needs to be bored.

He also needs to get his offices staffed with his own people, ASAP.

Very naive.

It's a trap. Mueller is begging to be fired.

I presume Ryan has told Swamp Central that he won't declare for impeachment, "with a heavy heart", unless the swamp creatures can provoke Trump into an act like firing Mueller.

I think he should fire him anyway, be he should then be prepared to sent a Marine Expeditionary Unit to arrest Congress.

As they say back home, "sh*t's gonna get real".

Trump is not going to be “Watergated”. First of all, Nixon had the votes in the Senate to remain president. He left for the good of the country. Trump will stay for the good of the county.

Second, Nixon never fought back. Trump will.

Third, Trump is going to put a stop to this. Current law does not allow an open ended investigation. If the special prosecutor wants to go beyond his authorized investigation into Russian influence in the election, then he must request permission. He has ignored this law, and will be brought up short. How . . . only Trump know. But he will not allow this to go on . . . and on . . . and on.

He is inept. They said he was a Marine but no Marine could be a part of defying the vote of the American people. He is what is disparagingly known as an EX Marine

Republicans would instantly lose Congress if they pushed impeachment.

Trump needs to get his offices staffed with his own people and they need to get through his agenda items.

The public needs its’ privacy rights back, and the abuses of post 9/11 law need to be investigated and reported on. Overreachers should be jailed appropriately.

I thought the reason Nixon resigned was because his fellow Republicans in the Senate came to him and said that the votes were there to impeach him.

As far as current law not allowing an open ended investigation, I saw Jonathon Turley on Fox News yesterday saying that Mueller’s mandate is worded so vaguely that he can investigate almost anything he wants.

But I did hear on Mark Levin yesterday that Levin’s reading of the Constitution allows unlimited pardon powers to the President, even pardoning himself. And that he doesn’t have to wait for any charges to be brought. He can exercise his pardon power whenever he wants to.

Tempers of the American people are getting real short. President Trump and the DOJ better put a stop to this and start the real investigation of the communists party Democrats such as Hillary and Commey.

I remember Nixon well - the senators tried to convince him to stay on, assuring him they had the votes. But Nixon said no.

Rush had a long segment Friday on the text of the law, and said they clearly do not have authority to go into his business and tax returns. I believe Trump knows this and has already telegraphed his intention to take action - exactly what, only he knows.

I wasn’t always a “keyboard commando” and neither were many of you. I think the Left forgets that, at their peril.

Trump has my permission to involve Mattis & Co. The indulgence of triflers must end. It’s not about “dissent”, these creeps are our ENEMIES WITHIN. Smoke ‘em out and burn ‘em down, PawPaw Trump! Deputize us if need be. (Okay, that may be pushing it, lol.)

That's how I see it too. First move had to be a sign that Mueller was outside his box. Next move has many options, and they are not all mutually exclusive.

Letters to Rosenstein from Team Trump, letters from Congressional Committees, who question DoJ (Mueller is part DoJ, just not subject to "regular supervision"), a public education campaign about the scope of Mueller's authorization, outrage about Mueller's with hunt - and make it personal. If Trump has dirt on Mueller, let Mueller know it's coming out. All the past failures, "Anthrax Mueller" comes to mind. Surrogates can go on a reputation-damaging rampage even without being told to do so, and that is coming.

Demand a completion date from Mueller. Put Mueller and Rosenstein under a microscope on this project.

Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy.
