Charlie Gard will be allowed to die after his parents today made the heartbreaking decision to let him 'slip away'.
Chris Gard and Connie Yates arrived at the High Court in tears as they ended a campaign to save his life that has touched millions around the world.
They have battled for six months for their beloved 11-month-old son to be flown to the US for pioneering drugs to treat his rare strain of mitochondrial disease.
But they have now decided to let him die clearly believing that Great Ormond Street's refusal to let him travel to a New York hospital had cost him his chance.

Charlie Gard’s Parents End Their Fight to Save His Life, Say It’s Too Late for Experimental Treatment

A lawyer representing the couple told Justice Francis that “time had run out.” The attorney for the family said that irreparable damage had already been done.
Grant Armstrong said: “This case is now about time. Sadly time has run out. For Charlie it is too late. The damage has been done.”
The decision means that the 11-month-old will stay in Britain and will have his life support removed.
The parents said they would discuss with the judge and other authorities about how the baby will be allowed to die. Armstrong said the news had left Charlie’s parents extremely distressed and they now “wish to spend the maximum amount of time they have left with Charlie.”
Charlie’s parents said through their lawyer in court that they hope that the case can change the way medical decisions are made in the future. It should be proof that if mitochondrial treatment is going to take place then doctors should begin as soon as they can, they said.
The Death Panel wins.
That is what would have happened if Hillary if she had gotten. Thankfully we have Mr. Trump as President.
This is the other half of the story. The poor infant has been fully brain dead for some weeks. He is already gone. Even still, it’s cruel to not allow the parents more say so on their baby’s treatment. The One World attitude is to take away almost all authority from the parents. Some schools operate that way in the States already.
Sad story. But what is scary is that a third party ruled without the consent of the parents.
This is a slipper slope.

Assuming he isn't assassinated (God forbid!!!) and he gets re-elected (God facilitate!) he won't be in office after 12 noon 1/20/2025.

One thing I have heard no media source dwell on has been an interview with someone, and I’m sorry I don’t remember the guys name, but he said “If the family could have taken him to a “private hospital” he could have possibly gotten treatment sooner”........ Sooooo what? Are there two classes of people in England? The little people and the rich people who have their own hospital / medical system? So single payer isn’t all peaches & cream and rainbows? Wow, who knew?
