The Justice Department issued a new warning to sanctuary cities Tuesday, saying they must prove they fully cooperate with immigration agents in order to claim federal law enforcement grant money.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said jurisdictions that don’t allow federal agents into their prisons and jails, and that refuse to give at least 48 hours’ notice before releasing illegal immigrants, will lose money.

Maybe Jeff is making a move to stay on. Some are saying if Sessions goes then Rosenstein becomes acting AG for months at least. Now that would a DISASTER. Step one must be dumping Rosenstein. I want Sessions to go because we need a pit bull right now but l pray Trump realizes that Rosenstein is the chief punk the coup. He gave Mueller the blank check and no limits for a reason.

This is just criminal illegal aliens.

What about the rest of the illegal aliens.

Half measures, at best, is all this is.

Immigration is an issue nobody would even mention. Hell, they wouldn’t even say “illegal immigrant “. I’m sure you have Mr. Perfect all lined up for the job.

Heck, I would be better at the job -- if only because I would take the Constitution as the Supreme Law of the Land. (See Art 4, Sec 4.)

Screw warnings! Start cutting off those treasonous cities.

Screw merely cutting off, let's have treason cases!

> Under the law, and the principle of federalism, that’s about all he can do. You're wrong -- see article 4, section 4. > Congress needs to tie more local funding to obeying the law. That's stupid, see the above section.

This warning should have been submitted on Jan 20th, with enforcement starting on the 21st. Six months later we finally get something.

Yeah, he's issuing scary warnings to lawbreaking mayors and governors. (shivers)

Ping me when he actually DOES something.

Sessions has been GREAT on illegals. I can't think of another person who will be a bulldog on the illegal immigration issued.

Really? Mayors and governors are blatently harboring CRIMINALS in their cities and states. They are breaking the law. Those who break the law are supposed to be ARRESTED.

Sessions has not had any of these people arrested. Sessions is derelict in his duties, and he should be fired for condoning illegal activities.

This isn’t complicated. Sessions should have US Marshals arresting mayors and governors for violating US immigration laws.

Yeah, rounding up & locking up mayors & governors. that's the ticket. I'm sure the guy you have in mind for AG will get right on that.

Follow through AG Sessions

Follow through and enforcement is what separates the "juniors" from the "seniors."

Stand by to see if Sessions has teeth or is it just more Kabuki theater?

We used to be a nation of laws. Illegal actions used to have consequences. Sessions is not holding these people to account for their actions.

Do you condone selective law enforcement based upon someone's position... letting a mayor off the hook because he/she is a mayor?

If you were Kate Steinle's father, you would want to see San Francisco Mayor in jail for dereliction of duty, harboring criminals, obstruction of justice, and accessory to murder.
