The Australians are already berserk that the now former police chief didn't bother cutting her vacation short to deal with this and took five days to make a statement.
Apparently, Australia expected this incident to have been treated seriously. Silly Aussies.

This thing kind of puts the stink that Minneapolis has become right out in the open, hasn’t it. Corruption at many levels. We shouldn’t make categorical excuses for it at any level either, not even the “thin blue line” level. Maybe more like the fat white line of crack, or something akin to it.
This is so ripe for a look by the FBI, if it weren’t also in terrible shape.

Her fiance was out of town, he reported she called him before she called 911. I’m sure he will forever wish he didn’t tell her to call 911, but that is what we are supposed to be able to do for our safety.
I haven’t seen anything to suggest the fiance’s son was around, but I don’t know.
Possible justification for the city’s action:
She wasn’t wearing a burka at the time, so she was in violation of Sharia law.
She made a black Muslim look bad, so she had to be a bigot.
She was involved in a homicide.
She was present at the scene of a criminal act.
She took possession of city property, to wit, a bullet, without proper authorization.
By calling 911 twice, she made a police officer work while on duty.
I want the id of the judge that signed that warrant.
Yeah, I read that too. But seriously, I know of no remedy for 4th amendment search/seizure violations, other than suppression of evidence.

Hoping to find something that might cast at least a shred of suspicion on the victim and make the incident seem less inexcusable.
They didn’t take anything and we will find out if they left something if they come back on another warrant.

Doing everything they possibly can to deflect blame from a Muslim who is Black and a Somali. Trying to find anything to hurt her reputation.

The family was already going to sue but this is going to just be gravy for punitive damages, they continue to inflict emotional harm on the family.

The cop’s lawyer has already gone on record suggesting that she should be investigated for the possibility that she might have been under the influence of Ambien.
