I guess I should have been more definitive. Yes, Western Canada would be a welcome addition to the US because of who you are and where your interests lie. And not unlike America, Eastern Canada is where all the crap resides. Between the Fake English in Ontario and the Fake French in Quebec with all their political power, you folks have always sucked hind tit.

Alberta pays for the rest of the country and its gotten past old.

I may go look into contracting in Texas. I have skills that are in high demand. I don’t consider it cutting tail and running. I need to be around more like minded folks. If I do oil and gas down there, I wouldn’t be leaving again.

Most of us here in Alberta wouldn’t actually mind too much if the US decided to make a 51st state.

Canada follows the US pattern to some degree. Liberal in the major cities, and conservative in rural areas. The swing votes come in suburban areas, which the left has an advantage in right now.
