Costs of green electricity driving Aussies off the grid and into poverty

When greenies get their way, poor people suffer. Global warming hysteria tends to be an affliction of the affluent, who don’t have to worry about where their next meal is coming from or how they will keep the lights on at night. But for those lacking the leisure to hypothesize a crisis that keeps getting stuck on pause, the costs of green energy can wreck lives.

It is happening in Australia, in the State of Queensland, ironcally rich in coal deposits:

The Sunday Mail of Brisbane explains in an editorial:

TODAY’S confronting revelation that more than 464 Queenslanders a week are having their electricity disconnected because of soaring power prices is a wake-up call to the Labor Party. (snip)

Labor’s zealotry on renewable energy targets is sending the country broke. (snip)

[[The pols could not be happier. This is the entire goal of the green energy scam. ]]

I’m nearly convinced that climate change is going to be the club that the antiChrist uses to beat people into submission by making them so poor- so desperate- that they must turn to the government in order to survive- The government will comply- but ONLY IF they take the mark of the beast

And banning plastic grocery bags is so stupid, everything comes in plastic. Bottles, packages, everything is in plastic. And you can still get the plastic bags in the produce section. The meat is all wrapped in plastic. You go to a mall and get plastic bags for your purchases. Here in Austin the greenie weenies feel good about themselves for banning one useful thing, plastic grocery bags. As if that saves the dam world!

This is just a opinion piece masquerading as American Thunker Fact. It doesn't tell you much, but here is one that does:

US tech billionaire Elon Musk fuels coal wars in energy strapped Australia

There are similarities here in the US except it is Trump and the GOP who are trying to defacto indemnify coal

It’s like General Sheridan said “The only good ecowanker is a dead ecowanker”

Living off the grid is a dream of many Americans. What is happening in Australia is different. At least it is not cold there. Most all their safety net social services are going to the non-assimilating refugees. They should kick them off after 3 years.

Having lived off grid myself off and on for the last 15 years it is hardly “Poverty”. Life style change maybe, but not poverty. But mine was by choice, I realized I could actually live without most status symbols yet still have all the major comforts of heating and cooling, Electronics, Etc. I love the independence, It was always great when a storm rolled in and knocked out the grid in the nearby communities and our place was the only house in the whole valley with lights on. lol

"And banning plastic grocery bags is so stupid, everything comes in plastic."

And, you know what else is so stupid? Where does plastic come from? And, makeup, and tires, and asphalt, and rubber, etc. OIL!!! If we stop producing oil, how are we going to get THOSE products! STUPID greenies!

They swallowed it in pursuit of an even greater fantasy “energy independence”. Which was replaced by “energy security”. Which was just one component of the “Buy American” bamboozle. The US are “Yankee Traders” and Trump has the right big ginormous idea. Energy Domination.

We do not need a US Federal Government energy or trade policy. We need freedom. In the end a free economy fueled by free US entrepreneurs will thrash all foreign business schemes.

Poor disarmed people are easier to rule over.

And the gummint will probably give them free electricity if they behave they way they are told.

Well, free to them. They will tax the productive to pay for it in an effort to push us down too.

The next step will be govt payments to help with the high green energy bills.

Back in the 90s I worked in Macon, GA. My Georgia Power bills had a box you could check for any extra amount "to help the poor with their power bills". I wrote them a separate letter saying all that did was ensure that GA Power got paid and I wasn't going to subsidize them. I would however, contribute to a fund which gave no-interest loans to the poor to insulate their houses, with the proviso that they paid the loan back by adding a nominal sum ($1.00) to their bill.

Crickets.
