Are we going to start a trade war with China just when we need their help — or at least their neutrality — in a fight with N. Korea?
Looks like China is not holding up to its end of the North Korea deal. Now President Trump is going to get tough with China.
Vee put you on ze train to ze countryside..!
This could be improved. Add tariffs on Chinese imports, or containing made-in-China parts, to recover unpaid royalties for all the many years of Chinese pirating of software and patents (including interest) with that tariff revenue to be distributed to the victims. THAT would drum up support from expected quarters - think of how Microsoft would like to get back royalties, with interest, of all the pirated copies of Office and Windows sold in China since about 1994. Etc.
Ping. Just thought you’d be interested...
Finally! I have been waiting for this for months. Let the trade battle begin.
So China wants the trade war to stop...it’s simple, just help us end this North Korea situation.
Russia wants sanctions to go away, help us with this north Korea situation.
North Korea is China’s only military ally.
The only one.
China has been accumulating increasingly concerned enemies, who greatly outman (e.g. India) and outproduce (USA, Japan, and Korea) it.
Korea would be China’s best chance to prevail in a war against the USA. A trade war would be would be about their worst.
We don’t have to spend a lot of blood and treasure to defeat the Chinese Communists - we just have to stop giving them our treasure to use against us. North Korea can then just collapse on its own.
