The U2 still logs flight time although the SR-71’s are seemingly all mothballed.

If it is the latter option, we are well and truly screwed.

“My first order as President was to renovate and modernize our nuclear arsenal it is now far stronger and more powerful than ever before. Hopefully we will never have to use this power, but there will never be a time that we are not the most powerful nation in the world!”

This tweet would indicate that ain’t what he is thinking

All weapons that North Korea has, inclusive of the ability to make them fly and the ability to make new ones, should be destroyed so definitively that only ash will remain in the places where they were.

I agree. I’m also not certain which option is true.

Half of me thinks we should let them develop the weapons. Let’s say they have them, then what? They must know that one launch against us or an ally and they cease to exist.

So what would they want in return for not using them? What’s the end game for them? it’s feeding the people to ensure regime survival.

It’s a good investment to avoid a nuclear war.

It’s one of those things where how expensive in terms of blood and treasure would it be to go to war with NK versus just paying them off.

I know it’s a completely insane idea and creates a horribly slippery slope.

But so is a nuclear war 10 miles from Seoul.
