Back in my running days, I'd shop at "Jim Dalberth Sporting Goods" near the corner of Genesee St. and Brooks Ave. I always looked over BOTH shoulders when walking from car to store - a hell of a neighborhood.

I've gotten stuff from Jim Dalberth's in the past. The corner of Genesee St and Plymouth Ave has been rebuilt as part of the Brooks Landing project and Jim Dalberth's moved into a newly built building across the street and are still in business. That area and across Plymouth where the Staybridge Hotel and the new UR dorm is nice, but you venture a few blocks north up Genesee St and it gets rough.
