Because conservatives don't blindly accept every idea thrown out by media as if it were divinely inspired, that same media is giving its all to discredit us.
One way or another, conservatives must be beaten because people who actually think for themselves aren't easily controlled and therefore can't be tolerated.
At least during the early years the media did not pretend to any objectivity. They were party organs all the way.
Hamilton founded the “New York Post” specifically to counter the lies of the Jeffersonian papers. The latter even subsidized while SecState a newspaper to attack Hamilton’s (Washington’s) policies.
As a consequence of such treachery Washington stopped associating with him for the last years of his life.
