Maybe upstream he had a clearer shot of going forward rather than backing out. He only put it in reverse when the thugs started to approach him, as the video shows.
Thanks. Still doesn’t explain why he rammed into car ahead. I could see accidentally bumping in to, if distracted by thugs, etc... but not ramming.
