True, and most want to forget that Robert E. Lee was a patriot who fought in the Mexican-American war as well.

Lee was no supporter of human slavery.
His wife and mother-in-law worked, during the civil war, to free slaves; and his wife and daughter ran a school for slaves at Arlington, which was illegal at that time in the south.

But we MUST destroy the legacy of Robert E. Lee in order to further demonize white people in particular.
Robert Byrd is, and will remain a hero of the left.

I’m all for getting the truth out as you’re suggesting. The problem is a David and Goliath one, meaning the utopian Goliath aka Left, Progressives, etc., control almost all of our society’s megaphones-—Hollywood, higher and lower education, media, and much if not most of our political and legal processes. Decent, law-abiding Davids have talk-radio, blogs like Free Republic, Discover the Networks, One American News, and a host of websites working to get the news out. But for every smidgeon of truth we make known, a pound or more of filthy lies and attendant sludge are dumped all over us by Goliath.
