I see a car driving down the street, and then around the 0:04 mark someone comes from the left and hits the rear of his car with something -- at which point he guns the engine and drives quickly straight forward.

I have been in a somewhat similar situation before, and I didn't react all that much differently than what this guy did -- especially when he put his car in reverse and began speeding backwards.
