In just a decade, imagine what we could learn from, say, a sovereign California and Texas? Two polar opposites on almost every core issue: guns, religious freedom, energy, immigration, taxes, the environment.

Now I'm wondering if the other 56 states can vote to remove California from the rest of the nation since they want to go anyway. THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE!

California must pay in full for all military bases and property belonging to the United States. They must also pay for relocation of all former US citizens who wish to resettle in the US. After doing that, they can go to hell.

If it wern’t for the good people of California that I know are there, I would say we would be better off if California left the USA. Let me move out of Illinois first and you can take it with you.

I hope they succeed in their quest for secession. It would spell the end of the Democrat Party without a doubt. Besides that their economy is not in a position to actually handle it. then we invade & recapture California as a territory of the United States that has no voter representation. Ah, dreaming is so much fun. 8>)

If it's done in the form of a constitution amendment, it would take only 38 states to expel California from the Union.

How about just a LA-SF-EXIT?.

Build a wall around each cesspool - kind like East-West Berlin.

We can’t let Kalifornica secede. Even without the resources; it leaves us wide open security wise.

Honestly, if we could cut it off from the mainland and float it 500 miles off shore, I’d say let it go but the reality is we can’t and we will go to war with Kalexico if we have to. If it’s war they want it’s war they get and I guarantee you it will look nothing like it does today when it’s all said and done. The entire state may have to be taken over by the US government giving pennies on the dollar to the people who own property there. Whatever it takes to not only stop this state from going off the rails but also to prevent anything like this in the future. Obviously all illegals will have to go home and maybe even some newly legalized ones within the last 10-20 years.

Succession is simply not an option even though I truly wish it were. Not for CA, not for TX, and not for the deep South states talking about the same thing again.

I wouldn’t wish California to secede but with what is going on.....it is almost certain it will do so.

Here is how I think this unfolds. California exits and creates a new nation with its own Constitution. Then other liberal states petition to leave the US and join the CA federation.

If California can secede then Jefferson can secede. Do it!

This is becoming an argument for Congress to create the State of Jefferson just the same way they created West Virginia!

Does anyone know if it is legal for states to build a wall to monitor and prevent as needed, entry between California (or any other crazy state) and their state?

California secession threads and the Libtard idiots who actually think it can/will happen is pure insanity. A second American Civil War is on the horizon if these malcontents wish to break from the Republic.

How does this work exactly? Will the nut jobs in the big cities, ie, San Francisco, Los Angeles, etc., control the votes? What about those in Kalifornia who would like to rid themselves from the leftwingers on the coast and remain part of the United States. How could the cities exist without out of state water?
