Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to scrub history of the notion there was ever slavery in this country? Just rewrite the history books and purge every reference to slavery in the United States from class rooms.

They could arrest anyone who talks about it and charge that person with using a lie to incite a riot. It could be a really bad hate crime.

Perhaps with the evil of slavery scrubbed from the past, there is no lesson from history to guide men against slavery. Then they can impose the evil of slavery in a totalitarian state where the individual is a slave to the state.
