I grew up in VA, AL, NC, FL, and TX in the fifties and sixties. I used to wonder why there were seperate bathrooms and water fountains, among other things. I no longer wonder. This great country having eliminated slavery, and discrimination long long ago, is now faced with ignorant backlash and reverse discrimination from the descendents of those who knew and understood issues in the fifties and sixties.
The present generation knows practically nothing of the issues and are intent on disruption, destruction, deception, and bringing back segregation. The democrats in the South fought hard to not be forced into desegregation for some very important reasons, but government at the point of a gun put that to rest. Remaining comments self censored due to loss of first amendment rights.
