Point is Trump is a loose cannon, who needs to stop undermining his communication teams.

The sense I keep getting from you is that you don't like Trump's methodology, and you aren't terribly concerned about whether or not the story of the Muslims and the Pigs is factually true.

My recollection is that the British did something similar in India, (greased railroad tracks with pig grease) so I find it highly credible that our people made use of the tactic as well.

debunked by snopes.

Snopes should be presumed false unless proven otherwise.

He said look what Pershing did. He wasn’t specific. Hopefully, he was told the story, was debunked.

I agree, I wish he’s shut up, but he won’t. He’s consistently going to say what he feels.

Why does this slander of Pershing - who was really a man far far far ahead of his time - keep coming up?

I mean, the President is basically praising him for being a war criminal - which he certainly was not.

He did none of those things.

In fact, his tactics generally led to surrender without the loss of life.

Pershing was in charge of a sector in the Phillipines. He did deal with Muslim uprisings.

He was remarkably humane for that war and that time period and had tremendous success.

Yea, that didn’t happen.

Stop slandering Pershing as a war criminal.

“I fail to see where this statement is debunked? “

CNN and others are saying some story about a firing squad dipping bullets in pigs blood before shooting muslims, then leaving a single surviver to tell the tale.

Easy to say the tweet is “debunked” when it wasn’t tweeted in the first place.

FBN host pointed out the story about burying pigs with dead muslims has not been debunked.

The Washington Post article, (Linked elsewhere in this thread) says that a letter from a man who served there, claims that they did indeed drop pig blood on a terrorist and bury the pig with him.

We either have to conclude that the man who wrote the letter back in the early 1900 made it up, or that it really happened.

I don't see why a man would make up such a story, so I am going to classify it as "true."

I would love to hear your opinions on Ft. Pillow.

One guy tells a story and it’s the truth? I bet you have met hundreds of guys who were going to be starting quarterback in high school, but the coach was out to get him.

Where are you getting this "War Criminal" stuff? I don't see how any of the things that his forces were said to have done constitutes a "war crime."

I've seen video of captured combatants being summarily executed by an American firing squad in the Philippine insurrection. That is how things were done in those day.

Gary Cooper did it in the 1939 film The Real Glory.

It’s been understood that murdering prisoners of war is not to be done for centuries. We know that people have played loose with the concept, but the American military has always taken a dim view on POW killing.

General Pershing did not do this.

Pershing fought the Maoris in the Phillipines. Where were “educated”?

Anyway, it looks like the premise was debunked.....The Moris were so drugged up they were shot numerous times and lived. The Colt .45, 1011 was built and designed to tear them apart, destroy parts and leave them todie. Don’t try to change history. There are pics where he tied Muslims to the front of cannons and fired them into eternity.
