We’re missing the underlying point in this. They overplay their hand but still inflict damage. None of these statues will return, none of the streets changed back to their names. They simply do not care about the collateral they lose. It’s all about moving that adgenda inch by inch.
Oh I absolutely agree the damage is real, but the damage to their “brand” is greater IMO.
