I have seen a seated picture of a Hussein and Hitler meeting. They were seated, and it was unmistakably Hitler.
I wrote about this meeting and photos of Hitler and the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem (a designated war criminal by England) for CAMERA (Committee for Accurate Middle East Reporting in America).
It related to a story by then Wash. Post writer Glen Frankel about Husseini’s grandson (or nephew) who was agitating for the PLO in Israel. Frankel knew nothing about why the Israeli reaction to this young Husseini was so visceral (Frankel won a Pulitzer Prize for his Middle East writings and has a new book out now that is being pimped as the end all to be all on foreign affairs).
The Grand Mufti, who was actually appointed by the British High Commissioner for Palestine in about 1922, was responsible for the massacre of Jewish citizens of the then British Mandate state of Palestine in 1929 and throughout the 30’s including the horrible Hebron Massacre of men, women and children.
During WW2, he helped create and recruit at least two Muslim SS Divisions (if I remember correctly, in Macedonia or Montenegro/Yugoslavia that were responsible for genocide against their Jewish residents, and who also ran the concentration camps for the German SS).
The Grand Mufti later fled to Egypt and teamed up with Nazi war criminals and scientists in Nasser’s wars against Israel.
He was never turned over to the Nuremberg International Court of Justice or the British War Crimes Tribunal. He was protected all his life, often by British anti-semites and the Moslem nations.
Frankel’s failure to learn the history of his story subject was just an act of sheer neglect and incompetence. This German judge’s statements are way beyond that and he should be made to apologize to the journalist and be banned from any judicial position or legal position for the rest of his life.
After all this time, there IS NOT EXCUSE FOR IGNORANCE of the Nazis and their Allies by the educated Germans, esp. in the service of any levels of their governments.
