Will the “update” point out that slavery was outlawed in the US over 150 years ago?
Also, will the “update” note that it was Western culture which led the way in the abolition of slavery?
Why don’t they acknowledge it in the African American Museum built right next to Washington Monument? Seems like a great safe space and people with white guilt can go and confess their sins...

Will a similar plaque be installed at the Martin Luther King Memorial, one that would list all of MLK’s personal shortcomings?
Side note: I really don’t care about MLK’s shortcomings, or Jefferson’s for that matter. Both were great men who were at the right place at the right time.
But the goal here is evidently to drive as many wedges between Americans as possible. Deliberate Balkanization. So why not install insulting plaques everywhere?
Of course, this will just make it a target.
