House Speaker Paul Ryan spoke up forcefully in a Facebook post on Monday against the recent violence in Charlottesville and the death of Heather Heyer, the woman killed when a car plowed into a group of counter protestors.
There are no sides, Ryan wrote in an implicit critique of President Donald Trump, who was rebuked by Democrats and Republicans last week for blaming both sides for the violence between white supremacists and counterprotesters in Charlottesville.
There is no other argument, Ryan said in the post, which made no mention of Trump. We will not tolerate this hateful ideology in our society.
Ryan -- who called white supremacy repulsive in a statement after Trumps freewheeling and contentious press conference last Tuesday at Trump Tower -- went on to decry neo-Nazis and their ideology.
We all need to make clear there is no moral relativism when it comes to neo-Nazis, Ryan said. The notion that anyone is intrinsically superior to anyone else runs completely counter to our founding principles.

Hes just demagoguing.
Course there are sides. Nazis and Communists on one side.
Problem is Ryan and GOPe are dumb and very out of touch with the real world.
And then cowardly.
But Hillary is superior to the rest because she can commit crimes and get away with it.
Paul,
Wade into the middle of the AntiFa and let me know if there are sides then?
Actually this is a very revealing tell on the part of Ryan. He is merely explaining what is behind the curtain in “central planning” we call the federal government.
Republicans who dance to the media’s tune are a curse on this country. They are no better than Democrats.
Tell it to the Black Congressional Caucus, you moron.
Uhh, yes, there most certainly ARE sides. Many sides, just as Trump said. To deny or ignore that there are radicals on both the left and right is ignorant. Trump properly condemned any who express hatred and threaten violence towards others. That hatred can come in the form of abject racism, as with some of the white nationalists, or just as much in the case of the “antifa” idiots who hate and threaten anyone who supports traditional American values.
If there are no sides there is no center, no form, no right or wrong, no heaven or hell, no ying or yang. This may be the stupidest thing anyone has ever said.
WHEN did Trump equate the two? Can anyone show me? What point is the BONER clone trying to make?
Yet he sides with the National Council of The Race against the citizens and the rule of law.
Yeah, that’s all well and good IF you’re not the oppressed party like they are. /s
The majority of these pampered assclowns don’t have a clue what “oppression” is. If they keep it up, they may find out.
Every Republican is going to be asked this so they can keep it in the news. They think they found the issue to destroy Trump.
“Speaker Ryan on Charlottesville: ‘There are no sides’”
Was it William Buckley, or some other conservative, that observed: Liberals claim they always look at both sides of an issue but are then surprised to learn there are two sides.
1) While I agree Nazism and white supremacy is absolutely wrong in every sense of the word, in the USA, everyone, including those 2 types, have the right to free speech and the right to assembly. ANTIFA, nor you, has the right to violate their BoRs. Shame on you for suggesting otherwise.
2) There were non-racists there supporting the confederate statues. May have been a minority, but there were some
3) The neo-communists - and make no mistake that's what ANTIFA is - is no more morally "better" than neo-nazis. Need I remind you that Communists killed far more people than the Nazi did in the last century. I don't find killing/violence against someone because of their politics one ounce morally superior than killing someone for their race.
Carpet bomb his Facebook page. I just sent the following:
Stop the sophistry. No sane person believes in racial hate. But why not admit the fact that many good, non-hateful Americans are opposed to the removal of historic statues? Why not just say that not everyone who stood in support of Lee’s statue was a hateful person? Why not admit that Antifa and many of their supporters are also spreading hate? I think you don’t do this because you don’t want to lead and teach. That would take guts. You want to simply follow the crowd, the easy path.
We will not tolerate this hateful ideology in our society.

“Islam is a religion of peace”
They ARE Democrats, they just wear R jerseys to confuse people.
I haven’t decided yet if I think it’s central planning or if he’s just a lazy ass who doesn’t want to fight.
Neither is good.
Really how hard is it to condemn ALL violence and support the first amendment rights of ALL involved?!
Paul Ryan is a pure fraud
