Trump was advised by various GOPe honchos, not to pick a fight with Ryan and his ilk, but that only advantages Ryan, who freely kneecaps POTUS whenever it suits him.

Like Romney did for similar remarks two days ago, Ryan is getting verbally beaten up on Twitter. Either Ryan is totally clueless or he decided he is invulnerable to any primary challenge from Paul Nehlen or anyone, so he feels free to spew his hypocrisy. Ryan and McConnell are charter members of the Uniparty. They would have been happy had Hillary Clinton won, and would be OK if Pelosi and Schumer, respectively, take over their current roles in January 2019.
