KRIS-TV is predicting landfall at Rockport. If this occurs, Corpus Christi would technically be on the clean side, and spared from the worst storm surge.
Unfortunately, this is a dreaded nightfall storm. Corpus Christi would likely experience 75+mph sustained winds and higher gusts tonight after 9:00PM.
