What I saw was a man having to give up half his fighting skills just so Mayweather would get in the ring with him and he still went 10 rounds against the world champion. If anything it legitimized MMA and the skills they posses. Now is Mayweather willing to get into the ring with McGregor and fight buy MMA rules? Or is he just half a fighter?

Half? Closer to 80 percent.

Mayweather is 40 years old and coming off a two year layover. It only showed me that Mayweather would have lost to a legitimate boxing challenge last night. He's old - he really needs to make that his last fight.

Why on earth would Mayweather consent to this? He's now exceeded $1 billion in career earnings and unlike most boxers, he's been smart and kept his earnings for himself instead of watching various promoters and hangers-on leech his money away. And Mayweather has never claimed to be an MMA fighter - he's a boxer. An often boring boxer, but building a career on some of the best defensive skills ever seen in the ring is going to lead to some boring fights.

McGregor needed Mayweather for this fight and for the huge payday, so it was on Mayweather's terms - a boxing match. That most likely will never change.
