Not a fan of Sylvester Turner, but he is no Nagin. How do you move 7 million people in 2 days? We tried that once before with Hurricane Rita. That evac is still studied as what not to do. Much better to shelter in place.

It seems to me that people in certain areas...that knew from past experience they would get hit..should have evacuated.

But then I am not an evacuation expert..just someone who had flood waters to the top of my rental car engine in a houston hurricane.

The only “residences” illegals should have in this country are holding cells to await their deportation or trial for the crimes they have committed against American citizens.

Buffalo Bayou, across the street from the station just outside downtown, was one of many locations seeing immense flooding as Tropical Storm Harvey dumped staggering amounts of rain on the Greater Houston area.
