Just last week I listened to the top IRS director responsible for stopping fraud give a presentation during the IRS Tax Forum in Washington DC.. It is down by over 70%. And they are prosecuting many cases.
They have moved up filing deadlines for 1099s and employer w2s to monitor it even better.
Yet one more strong selling point to simplify the tax code to the following:
income: x
tax: x times 10%
No deductions, no credits, no using the tax code for social/economic engineering and political gain. No more GAAP; no accrual accounting. Everything posted on a cash (when received/when spent) basis.
Then have these girls find a real job.
There are a lot of people who would like to have a brief conversation with this guy to get a straight answer about why their return is still awaiting processing.

I know of people still waiting for several thousand dollars from their 2014 return due to identity theft.

You would think, wouldnt you, that with all the shit and corruption surrounding most everything the IRS does/touches/comments on, etc., etc., that the FAIRtax would be FRont and center on the Trump Administrations To-Do list?
