Both Indian and Chinese troops had a synchronous withdrawal. The Chinese removed the road building equipment which lead to the confrontation.

The situation is back to status quo ante. Both Bhutanese and Chinese troops patrolled there before as it was disputed territory.

The boycott of Chinese goods had also started.

I certainly hope you're right. The US does not need an aggressive China which is able to intimidate its neighbors. India, Vietnam, Japan - all of these nations need to be able to stand up to China.
