Two professors recently discovered that there are five different types of “invisibility microaggressions” women of color face, according to an article published Monday.

Jasmine Mena, a Psychology professor at Bucknell University, and Annemarie Vaccaro, who teaches Higher Education at the University of Rhode Island, claim they are the first academics to argue that “invisibility” is a “common form of microaggression” experienced by professors of color.

I would like to remind everyone that this idiot meme of “invisibility” was pioneered by Michelle Obama in her laughably unreadable Princeton thesis. It’s online. Please read it. The meme was bound to return with a vengeance now that her hubby is out of office. They got a little too comfortable with it, and like most of their ilk, did not expect someone like Trump to come along and ignore it.

“Higher education”?
Bwahahahahahaha.
Remember this loser teaches education because that’s the only “discipline” that had low enough standards to admit and graduate him.
Your local garbage man produces more value for you than the entirety of education profs.

It must be like discovering a new subatomic particle in physics but less useful and less replicable.

"When small men begin to cast big shadows, it means that the sun is about to set."

Amazing quote! May I "pilfer" it for my new tagline, perhaps? ;-)

That was the stupidest, most brain dead thing I have read in a long time, and in an Internet world full of stupid, brain-dead things...that is saying a lot.

A fellow Freeper recently argued (good naturedly and civilly) with me when I characterized liberalism as a mental illness. I cannot read this other than as an epitome of a description of people who are in need of professional mental help.

I rate this up there with the liberals all having a primal scream session around the stump of an old-growth tree that had been felled by loggers. It would be hilarious to the point of paying money to laugh at it, except for the simple alarming fact that these imbeciles want to force this idiocy on the rest of us via legislation, fiat, or any other method to "alleviate" this "situation" of "invisible micro-aggression".

Let me see, I’m accomplished, successful, professional and academic, but I no longer can point to a cause that makes me a victim, and no longer being a victim is depressing. Let me create a new class of victim-hood and let me convince others to join me in feeling like victims. Then I’ll feel good again. /sarc

did not expect someone like Trump to come along and ignore it.

Well put. 'Tis exactly what he's doing, it's a negotiation technique. Anyone with a three year old recognizes it.

If you call me "RACIST!" and my response is an empathetic, "I'm terribly sorry, what can I do to make it up to you?", then I've handed you all the power in the negotiation.

Whereas, as Trump does... if you call me "RACIST!!" and I ignore you, then you've no power at all. The only thing that you can do is yell louder, in hopes of provoking a reaction.

That's roughly the point of discourse where we are, nationally. Buncha three-year-olds, screaming and kicking, attempting to get attention. So long as Trump - and Republicans - don't cave in, we'll all come out fine.

During my education I was never in a class with another person of color, ever. Maybe my last class in graduate school, I saw another person of color,” recounted Judy, a staffer at a predominantly white college.”

Erma Gawd. Women were one percent in Mech Eng classes when my auntie went and when I went and even today. If you want to feel comfortable don’t go anywhere that you ain’t in the majority

So childish

Quite simple, really. If noticing race redounds to the benefit of the minority in question, it is racist (sexist etc.) not to notice. However, if noticing race redounds to the discredit of the minority, then it is racist (sexist etc.) to notice. Thus, if you notice that a minority group is underrepresented in some field you are enlightened. If you notice that a minority group is overrepresented in the commision of crimes then you are a racist pig.

Some people are just angry. Whatever they’re angry at isn’t what made them angry, it just is chosen as an excuse/target for their anger. They’re not angry about anything, they’re just angry.

Nothing you do for them is right, so do the only thing you can do for them right: nothing.
