Kurt Smolek, a Diplomatic Security special agent with the State Department and Dayton Police Academy graduate, was found dead in the Potomac River on Wednesday and the cause is listed as undetermined pending an autopsy.
We're hearing tonight that Smolek, 45, is a 1998 academy graduate and one of his assignments as a special agent was as a member of Condoleezza Rice's security team.
According to DC Metro police, Smolek was last seen Monday, Aug. 28, in the 600 block of Water Street, Southwest, about 10 p.m. A missing persons bulletin described hims as white with graying brown hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 190 pounds.

Yeah, but as you will probably remember, every year there are Potomoc drownings, especially in the area near Chain Bridge. The victims are mostly fishermen and swimmers who don’t know about the dangerous currents.
But an inebriated agent from Diplomatic Security would also be in extreme peril if he fell into the Potomac anywhere near the rapids — which begin in the Georgetown vicinity, just to the NW of Key Bridge.

The purpose of this thread is to develop a conspiracy theory by which we can bash Her Highness, Lady Hilary. It’s totally irrelevant that the dead guy worked for Dr. Condoleeza Rice instead of for HRC.

You mean William Colby?
1. He was not just a mere “retiree” from the CIA. He rose to become head of the whole stinking agency, after decades of service that stretched back to WW2.
2. Unlike Agent Smolek, he was an old man who was years away from active duty.
3. He drowned in Chesapeake Bay, not the Potomoc.
4. He was manning his sailboat, not a canoe.
Bottom Line:
Other than the fact that both men drowned, this case of Agent Smolek doesn’t remind me one bit of the Colby case.

My bad. It was a canoe, just not on the Potomac.
Still, any attempt to equate Director Colby’s death with Agent Smolek’s death is downright silly.

We want to tie him to Mrs. Clinton — even though he worked not for her but for Condoleeza Rice — because we need to dream up another conspiracy theory for bashing HRH Hilary.
Therefore, no actual “evidence” tying him to Clinton is needed. We’ll just make things up as we go along.
