It was 10 kilometers underground, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The deepest mine in the world is 3.9 km deep. Doubt it was a nuke.

Where do you see 10km? Their site still says 0.0km. Maybe it was 10 on initial report, then revised to 0.0km when they upgraded the magnitude from M5.6 to M6.3.
