Message on Storm Carib from Barbuda:

“The extent of the destruction on Barbuda is unprecedented,” Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne said in an interview with public broadcaster ABS Television/Radio. “95% of properties would have suffered” some kind of damage from the storm, he said, and added

“Barbuda is barely habitable.”

Prime Minister Browne also said that the one confirmed fatality at this time is an infant, and died while the mother of the child was trying to escape a property.

...1,300 -1,600 population of the tiny island of Barbuda....

90% devastation..declared uninhabitable following Hurricane Irma...homes, buildings, cars destroyed

60% homeless

Prime Minister. said people were in their houses for protection throughout the storm.

The tiny Island is quite a bit smaller than Washington DC, 1,600 people... They should probably abandon the entire island to it's neighbor Antigua......Hurricane Jose is forming and tracking like Irma...
