It wouldn't be the first time that a news organization released a story they believed true as fact. They are hoping to elicit a denial, or, if actual events confirm their suspicions, they hope to appear prescient, ahead of the news cycle. Ruddy's outfit needs that pretty badly right about now.

I remember something, but not the details. I remember however, making a note to myself, that they might no longer be reputable.
