asking the reader to take more time to contemplate a more thought-out statement, which is better handled on a forum more suited to the topic

I would think Twitter or some similar fast-paced app would give you that option.

One way around the 140 character restriction is to keep replying to yourself until you are finished. Trump does that often. At the end of each tweet and reply you let the readers know where the reply stands by putting 1/3 (1 of 3), 2/3 (2 of 3), etc. at the bottom of the tweet to let readers know there is more. When you are finished your tweets and replies should all line up. It’s annoying but sometimes necessary in order to stop misunderstandings from short tweets.
