Impressive and he’s only 39 years old.

“Two same state US senators just objected to one of Trump’s circuit court nominations. This means Trump will have to withdraw that nominee and submit another. Sorry I can’t remember which state. It was a blue state, of course.”

The state was oregon. A FReeper suggested a nomination from another state. That way the socialist pigs from Oregon cannot “blue-slip” the nominee.

Sounds like a plan to me. :)

Your memory is wrong, R Senators used the Blue Slip generously against Obama after the filibuster was eliminated by the Dems. It was all they had left.
Judiciary Chairman Leahy(D) threatened that he would end it back in 2013, but didn’t.

Before that both Dems and Rs used it but not fanatically. These Dems are fanatical.

they can quash it as long as McConnell lets them. There is nothing in the constitution that allows home state senators to block judicial nominations. McConnell could end that tomorrow.

“There is nothing in the constitution that allows home state senators to block judicial nominations.”

So why isn’t this a subject of litigation? It would seem to me that Oregon residents would have “standing” to sue.

YES, MCConnell could end it, but it would ease something important for Trump, in his effort for placing American First, and to MAGA, and to us.

MCConnell should be deposed.

I believe it was MN I was actually trying to recall. Now, I’ve learned of Oregon too.

Is that possible. I think I don’t have understanding on the reach of a circuit. That would be a hopeful idea wouldn’t it, to reach into another state and pluck out an American patriot who has a brain and a conscience that can be approved as a nominee.

“Socialist Oregon?”

Oregon, is just like California and Washington, in that it’s politics are controlled by it’s big cities, or in it’s case Greater Portland and it’s college towns like Eugene. The vast majority of all three states of their land area are occupied by good decent people who believe in the Constitution. Give Portland a political enema and Oregon would be a decent place to live.

I hope all will be accepted. Hope they are strong constitutionalists.

I have seen the county map on the 2016 for all three states and you are right, except California where more than half the land area too voted marxist.

“except California where more than half the land area too voted marxist.”

I would question that, since 45% of California is owned by the Federal Government, and has very few people living on it.
