He’s trying to fix the 9th. He just nominated a great judge but the two idiots from Oregon blue chipped the nominee. Perhaps that needs to go away. The president should get the judges they want and yes democratic presidents should too.
He could nominate someone from outside of the 9th Circuit’s territory, there is no requirement to name someone from within. The person just had to be willing to move (and many do, anyway). That would be a typical Trump move - to just go around the problem.
The Dem presidents do get the judges they want.
