These kooks are part of what give most of us Christians a bad name.
It is clearly written that only God know the time. Our job is to be prepared. That’s good enough for me!

metmom,

I thought so, too, until recently.

However, Revelation 3:12, speaking to The Church in Philadelphia, says (in part): “The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God.”

Later, in Revelation 21:9-10 we see:

“Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.

In Revelation 21:22 we see:

I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

So we see that the church (at least The Church in Philadelphia) is made to become a pillar in the temple, and the temple is the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb. The church becomes part of the bridegroom.

The wise virgins are The Church in Philadelphia and the martyrs. The foolish virgins are believers, but are not yet ready to enter heaven. They are left outside, presumably in The Great Tribulation.

I suspect that The Bride is a remnant of Israel that Yahuah (God) will take for his son, Yahusha (Jesus), in order to fulfill the covenant he made with Abraham centuries ago.

“Christian numerologists”
Impossible. Real Christians understand the line “for no one knows the day or the hour”.

Certainly great fear will encompass them as they realize that we are gone and they are LEFT BEHIND!

I’m sad just thinking out it because my FReeper friends are all great people - and they love America! It’s just that they do not love God’s Word enough to read it and heed it.

There are a number of things that are impossible for even God to do . . .

1. Lie . . . He said that the believer is not appointed to wrath.

2. Go against His Word

3. Sleep and not watch over His people

4. Not to save whomsoever will come

5. Force anyone to get saved against their will

6. To not love His creation (John 3:16)

7. Not to care about our every need

8. To forgive sin w/o the shedding of Blood

9. To set even one lost man or woman free from hell once they go there

10. To force a child of God to serve Him

11. To withhold every good thing from believers

12. To not apply His forgiveness to anyone claiming the Blood of Jesus Christ (I John 1:9)

13. To save anyone in any other way that that prescribed by and through Jesus Christ . . . the way, the truth and the life - No man cometh to the Father except by Him!!!

>>>The church is already going to be there.<<<

Let no man steal your joy, or confidence. You are absolutely correct . . . and that only because it is based on the Word of God.

The whole problem is that people that can’t grasp the simple truths of the Word are stuck in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John which are Jewish books and fit in the Jewish dispensation.

The truths of the Word (or should I say the mysteries) are all revealed by Paul, the apostle of the Gentiles to whom was granted to explain church doctrine.

We simply can not force Jesus’ teachings to Israel - which are all millennial truths - upon the church. Now that is not to say we can not apply them and be blessed by living Kingdom principles . . . but throwing a person body and soul into hell is not something that will happen during the church period (but it will definitely occur during the millennium).

What folks are doing is reading other people’s mail and thinking it was written to them.

Here is what I don’t understand:

Jesus said “Heaven and earth shall pass away”.

Peter said “the earth and the works that are therein shall be burned up”.

Revelation 22 says the “leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations”.

Revelation 21 says “the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory and honor into it.”

Ecclesiastes 1:4 says “the earth abideth forever”.

So who is right?

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up” (II Peter 3:10).

Peter speaks of the heaven and the earth being cleanses and remade for the time when everything is finally glorified. The term ‘the day of the Lord’ encompasses the entire tribulation period and the millennium, or 1,007 years. It is during this time that the changes are made.

Again, you must separate the who, what, when and where of Scripture . . . that is, you must ‘rightly divide the Word of truth.”

Revelation 21 says “the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory and honor into it.”<<<

When the Lord returns to split the Mount of Olives, thus introducing His Millennial reign of 1,000 years - those that are alive (not the church saints who will return with Him) will depend upon these things for their length of life.

Those who, during this church age, have suffered with Jesus will reign with Him. The Jews will ‘inherit the earth’ while the saved believers will inhabit the new Jerusalem, the heavenly city.

At the end of the Millennium (or after the final show of rebellion against the Messiah) “of His kingdom there will be no end.”

Which is placing Luke 1:33 in it’s proper context and place.

The old sin corrupted heaven and earth will pass away and the new sinless one will abide forever.
