But the church is the bride.
It is NOT the ten virgins.
The virgins are going to the wedding feast of Christ and His church.
The church is already going to be there.
I’m not sure who the ten virgins are but the bride is the church.
metmom,
I thought so, too, until recently.
However, Revelation 3:12, speaking to The Church in Philadelphia, says (in part): “The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God.”
Later, in Revelation 21:9-10 we see:
“Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.
In Revelation 21:22 we see:
I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
So we see that the church (at least The Church in Philadelphia) is made to become a pillar in the temple, and the temple is the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb. The church becomes part of the bridegroom.
The wise virgins are The Church in Philadelphia and the martyrs. The foolish virgins are believers, but are not yet ready to enter heaven. They are left outside, presumably in The Great Tribulation.
I suspect that The Bride is a remnant of Israel that Yahuah (God) will take for his son, Yahusha (Jesus), in order to fulfill the covenant he made with Abraham centuries ago.
