Right. Sounds good.

But they will soon be changing what is meant by a “wall”.

They’ve already started that process, calling ongoing repairs to existing fencing the “wall”.

And then also, Trump spokesmen are now floating suggestions that a wall is not even needed in most places.

The US can never have a sensible and beneficial immigration policy unless we have a physical wall on the southern border. Anything less is completely useless as it is subject to easy subversion by leftists.

Once we stop the flow of illegals, we can then do all kinds of good things with immigration, good for us and also for those who wish to come here legally.

Build The Wall!!!

The Border Patrol has asked for a fence instead of a wall in at least some sections of the border. Where there has been solid barrier fence the illegals hide there and BP has no idea what they are doing. They wait for BP to go by and then cross, but BP has also come under attack from the other side of the border so the BP considers it a safety issue for them to be able to see through the barrier. This has been in discussion back to the first time Trump mentioned wall. The concerns of BP is being taken into consideration when wall designs are considered.

I live here, and I want a wall like the Great Wall of China. But that is not realistic and may not be the best way to secure the border. What we need is an absolute boundary fence/wall of some type that can be patrolled effectively by BP. There are sections of double border fence that have proved to be effective and I would have no issue with at least part of the “wall” being secure fencing. I am not hung up on a wall but I do want the border to be as secure as it can be.
