Manufacturing jobs now = 12.4 million, Manufacturing jobs year 2000 = 17.1 million. Close to 5 million reduction since the year 2000. Outsourcing began in earnest in the late 80’s/early 90’s. Wonder how many manufacturing jobs have been lost since then?
