Maybe. But they have also been exporting their indigents and unemployables to the US.

If Mexicans voted for republicans, they would already be gone and the wall would be done (50’ high).

We’ll suffer.

Fewer burritos.

But we will muddle through.

No, I have family in the construction biz and a lot of their best employees were Mexicans (status probably falsified). They weren’t drugged out and actually showed up to work everyday, didn’t expect to be picked up in “the van” by their employer but all chipped in to buy some miserable beater that they kept running to get them to work - and some even set up small businesses in whatever the skill was that they learned in the course of their employment.

The other thing is that when they went back to Mexico, which they almost always did, they started using those skills there. I was in southern Mexico a couple of years ago for a conference and we went up into the hills - and lo and behold, there were some great subdivision-style, 3-4 bedroom, solid stucco houses built by Mexicans who had learned their skills here in the US. The problem was that Mexico as a country and the individual states and cities in Mexico are completely dysfunctional so these houses did not have potable water, sewage was not good, and even power was iffy.

So that’s why Mexicans want to come here, and the heavily leftist union-controlled, quasi-socialist and highly corrupt state has to completely change before Mexicans will want to go back. I am hoping Trump can put pressure on Mexico to clean up its act.

Send every one of them back...all at once. Seize their assets first. These invader illegals need to stay out of OUR country.

I think the US should be totally supporting efforts the make Mexico a less corrupt nation.

It has the natural resources to take care of a vibrant country. It’s next door to us, so that should be of benefit.

It would be wonderful for both countries if decent non-corrupt politicians helped that country.

He claimed that sending such individuals back to Mexico would be his country’s gain

Of course it would. I have never understood why Mexico agitates for its citizens to stay in the US illegally - there are more people born in Mexico who live in the US than in Mexico. These are people who could be paying taxes in Mexico and building up that country into something people want to live in - instead, because Mexican leaders like this foreign minister are such abysmal, corrupt failures, people flee Mexico by the millions.

How could we be so selfish to deprive Mexico and other countries of their best and brightest?

Send them all home.

If they wanted to be Americans they would have applied to be one.
Instead they broke in and stole what they could.

Mexico’s largest income is from remittances from the US.
More than oil or anything else.
