I wish Tim Tebow had filed a civil rights suit against the NFL. I’ll bet discovery would’ve been very enlightening.

My post on Facebook yesterday morning while this travesty went on in London:

“I have been a rabid NFL fan and Baltimore Ravens fan since they came to Baltimore in 1996 but not anymore. My season tickets are officially for sale. Bye NFL we really don’t need you anymore. My country means far more to me than entertainment does!! The NFL is off at my house and will be in tens of millions more. Today is the day the NFL died!!.

The National Filth League can drop dead. It wouldn't matter if they stopped the "protests" tomorrow - black, white, player, coach: almost all of them have outed themselves as the trash they are.

The National Forget-about-it League, infected with TDS and perversion mania, is committing suicide-by-ratings-collapse.

“And in case you think this has nothing to do with the culture wars, ask yourself: the same people defending these NFL crybabies are the same ones who mocked Tim Tebow for kneeling to pray when he was on the field.”

Most excellent point!

The NFL will either stop playing the National Anthem (unlikely), or play it before the teams come out (very likely). Either way, the fat, drunk fans will be mad for a couple of weeks, then go back to wearing the jersey of their favorite rapist.

Want to kneel at an NFL game? You’ll find me beside Mr. Tebow.

No doubt about it.

If this country were so racist, minorities would be leaving in droves rather than fighting to come in. I wish that all of the people who think that this country is unworthy of their respect would go someplace else.

It’s only going to get worse, and it may already be too late.

I don’t know how others feel, but for me, it’s too late. I was, at one time, a big NFL and NBA fan. Those days are gone, permanently.

There is a lot of BS in this argument. The teams are commercial enterprises, the players work for the team. The player represents the team, not and never the community. That they want to exercise their First Amendment at work, which is what this is, is the choice of their owners. If their owners allow them to disrespect the flag and the national anthem on the owners dime, that is the owners only problem. We are citizens, as consumers, can accept that and watch their play or not. I say not. Boycott them.

First, why is the President bothering to get involved?

If you do not know the answer to this, then you do not understand the problem.

We are in a cultural war with the left. They have managed in the past 50 years to demonize any opposition to the point few dare to speak out. They win by default.

President Trump has shown courage in standing up for Americans that do not want our nation turned into a Socialist Utopia aka Venezuela or Cuba.

President Trump is the voice of the silent majority.

President Trump is a protector of American Values.

And President Trump is our own pest control exposing the termites gnawing on the foundation of our great nation.

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie T.J. Watt managed to raise over $30 million for hurricane relief ...

The author would have a lot more credibility if he knew the difference between Pittsburgh Steelers rookie T.J. Watt and Houston Texans star J.J. Watt.

The NFL is beginning to resemble the WNBA. Maybe they can cover the upper deck so the crowds don't look so empty.

I have to wonder if the storm surrounding the NFL today is as bad as the situation surrounding Major League Baseball in 1920-21. Baseball’s solution back then was surrendering control from the owners to Keenesaw Mountain Landis. That seemed to have worked. Of course, if nobody in the NFL ever read a history book, or more importantly never learned from the lessons of the past, maybe the NFL will just double down and try to tough it out.

The NFL, in the end, does not care about angering the fans. The fans are the product. They really don’t care if anyone shows up to the game, because the stadium is paid for by taxpayers.

The people they DO care about are those who buy the adds and write the TV contracts. THOSE people don’t like Trump, don’t like his supporters, and would rather we all watch soccer. They don’t care if the NFL folds, they don’t care if no one watches the game. All they care about is if they signal to their fellow elite and hangers on that they are doing their part for the resistance.

There is a reason that the NFL and college games all had ads for a soccer package this weekend.

The owners know exactly who they have to appease, and with the exception of Jerry Jones are doing it (I don’t like Dallas, but I can respect that they are standing firm for now).

What is sad is that I know an Air Force veteran who loves the Flag, the Steelers, and is black. He now has to chose which of these he identifies with more. I don’t know for sure, but I have a bad what he will chose after this weekend.

On a similar note, I fully expect for the Steelers coach to bench the guy who did go out for the anthem. He has to. The ploy was for a unified team against Trump’s America. The optics of a Hispanic Army veteran walking out of the locker room to show respect to the flag while the rest of the team hides is horrible. Tomlin will view that as a personal attack, and respond.
