Trump won Alabama by about 28 points. I don’t think Moore would lose to any democrat.
Moore will cakewalk the primary and the general... This race was OVER the minute Moore announced he was running... Anyone who told you otherwise doesn’t know diddly about Alabama politics... even someone like myself, who only visits the state every few years for a week at a time could have told you Moore had this locked up from the get go.
Strange never had any shot. Not only that, but no Democrat is taking a statewide Senate race there anytime soon.
Moore is like Trump times 10, because he’s been taking on the swamp for decades, and he’s been removed from office at least twice for DOING THE RIGHT THING... or at least perceived by most Alabamans for doing the right thing... He stood up for the 10 commandments and was removed from office... he came back bigger and badder... he was removed from office for standing up for Marriage... and was again removed from office.... He has spend decades building the most loyal support of any politician in state wide office because he has taken on the federal ROT... and NEVER backed down.
Dems (or the GOPe) can bring in as much outside money as they want, press can demonize him all they like.. Moore will win, handily. The worst case for Moore in the primary is only winning by 5-8 points with the more likely scenario being Moore by solid double digits... Trump stumping for Strange will likely keep the Primary victory closer to the worst case for Moore, but He’ll still win it handily.... and once he does, Trump will happily campaign for him if asked, and Moore will be a far more reliable MAGA ally than any McConnell/GOPe hack ever will be.
This race, like the 2016 presidential race, was over the minute Moore announced.. just like the 2016 race was over the Minute Trump came out against illegal aliens and “free” trade.
Anyone telling you Moore will lose this, is either wholesale ignorant of Alabama politics, or openly lying to you... Strange never had a shot.
