Spurs coach Gregg Popovich: US is a global embarrassment under Trump

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich took aim at President Trump on Monday, calling the United States a "global embarrassment" under his leadership after his attacks on African-American athletes who have boycotted standing for the national anthem.

“Our country is an embarrassment in the world," Popovich said in a press conference in response to the president's remarks over the weekend.

The San Antonio basketball coach ridiculed Trump for stating that players who linked arms during the games were honoring the national anthem, compared to those who knelt. The players who linked arms appeared to be standing in solidarity with one another in a sign of protest against the president's attacks on certain NFL and NBA players.

I hear what your saying, and to a certain extent I feel the same way, but only to a certain extent. There is a very small group that hate Whitey, most blacks do not listen to the same news, music, or commentators that we do, they do not visit the same websites, or listen to the same MSM that we do, and the honest ones don’t understand us, and really don’t want us to understand them. This is true for MOST non-white peoples. Of course I am painting with a broad brush. There are many non-whites that are JUST LIKE US, grew up just as we did, and have the same values as we do. But, because of their skin color, or language, are treated DIFFERENTLY than whites. Conversely, have a white drive or walk into a different ethnic neighborhood, and they will be pulled over, or harassed by a minority of that neighborhood. To that extent, I think they have a valid gripe. To be fair, it is a grip against a minority of police officers. Most officers are the good guys, and hate the bad cop just as much. They make their job harder, and more dangerous. In the end, the cop just wants to go home safely at the end of the shift.
How to weed out the bad cop is difficult, but reporting it to the police, or the mayors office is a good start. Ignoring their complaints foments danger in all communities.
Remember, protestors are often in the 15-30 year old age group. Are often ill informed, and easily led. Statics say that most do not even fully understand what they are protesting about.
I have found that entering into full discourse about the issue, and when possible avoid hysterics, give creedence to their concerns, and seek peaceful resolution for those who want it, and handle the violent with controlled suppression, and get them into the court systems, is the only way to show respect for their views, create a climate where all come to a consensus based on truth, and once we understand each other, take steps to fix whats broken, acknowledge that some things are NOT broken and lawful, and the conclusion that we all know the difference together.

Kumbaya, dude.

There is a tiny group of American blacks that don’t hate whitey.

When the rest show up at your house with torches, I hope you have enough ammunition and trigger pullers.

“I think you have a bigger problem than they do”

That’s because you believe things that are not true, and fail to see much that lies before your eyes.

I see the same things you do, we have differing opinions. That’s OK with me.

I’d rather watch Christian Pulisic play soccer than any basketball player.

Good for you. Of course you don’t have to root against the US soccer team because they’ll lose eventually anyway and you get off both ways.

I rather watch a dung beetle “play” with a ball of dung than watch the ferals of the nba play basketball. This coach is full of hate for America and Free Americans. People that buy tickets and watch these fools support them and their hate-filled ideas.

Neither do I care what the world thinks of us. FTW. America knows where the world is when it needs us.
