To put it more simply, Trump may or may not support Judeo-Christian aspects of the culture war (abortion and homosexual marriage being the twin poster children), but he supports Americanism aspects of the culture war, and in this he is joined by a majority of the American people. As ashamed as I am to admit it, it is easier to convince Americans to honor the flag than it is to honor marriage or the lives of the preborn.
I've had this conversation with friends at church. It's a start. Maybe, just maybe, with some common ground some will be brought around. If we have the conversation we're not starting from diametrically opposed places on the political spectrum. If half of what I've read and seen the President has come around a lot. As I said...it's a start.

I disagree. On both of those issues the public had made their preferences abundantly clear and the Supreme Court came along and said you MUST allow abortion and faggiage.
