Actually, that sounds plausible. What his parents witnessed sounds very much like a patient who was admitted to the hospital where I worked. He lived about nine months after his failed sucide attempt by hanging. His wife found him before he was dead.
She was at the hospital every day. It was worse for the family than it was for him.
I heard Brian Kilmeade on FOX say a couple days ago that this poor boy had been rendered deaf, blind, and his bottom teeth had been pulled out and then put back in the wrong sockets. They tortured him.
