Being that the island is basically leveled; I think Trump should use the model that we used for Japan to rebuild it. Install martial law with four star general as the chief magistrate with the governor as his liaison to the legislature and administration. But, in reality, the general would run the show. Puerto Rico for the most part needs to be bull dozed and rebuilt. Electrical infrastructure should be underground. No more wires on sticks. Residential housing, schools, commercial buildings, etc, should be built to survive a class five hurricane. In order to jump start the economy, huge tax credits and other incentives should be offered for corporations to locate businesses, manufacturing, other job creating sites in country. However, even the best circumstances will take years to recover. Being Americam citizens, the young and the best and brightest will leave for the state’s which will pretty much doom the future of PR.

That sounds like a good idea...we can’t have PR imported to Florida - then FL would be blue.

Not sure if from what I’ve heard about PR citizens work ethic that they’d actually take advantage of a hand up...might just be another hand out.
