LAS VEGAS >> A gunman on the 32nd floor of a Las Vegas Strip casino opened fire on an outdoor music festival, killing at least 20 people — including two off-duty police officers — and wounding more than 100, officials said early Monday.
Country music star Jason Aldean was performing on stage when the shots began ringing out Sunday night at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.
Officers confronted the suspect on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino across the street from the concert and he was killed, Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said. Authorities did not release the suspect’s name but said he is a local resident.
Concert-goers reported hearing what they described as automatic gun fire during the shooting.....

I don’t think info about the weapon has been released yet. Sound of the weapon being fired has been released though. I’ve heard plenty of fire from automatic weapons. Something was different about this. Although the weapon was apparently cycling on full auto, to me the fire rate seemed slower than a weapon designed for full auto such as an AK or M-16. Anyway, we will find out soon. My guess is the weapon was a DIY job.

Did the other reports mention the 32nd floor angle? The shooter’s identity will come out when the police want it to come out.
From more of a distance, they sound slower than they really are.
I thought is sounded like an AK. In any case it’s not hard to buy full auto in NV. Look for a push to ban them there.
Maybe, sounds doable as long as someone finds all the parts and assembles the gun.
