Friedman may very well have spoken too soon.
If a Synagogue, AME Church or Mosque was attacked Friedman would run past the bodies to attack “white” people or Trump.
The Israelis are saying he converted. They also say his girlfriend was an Indonesian muslim. That isis doesnt claim responsibility for something unless they have a hand in it.

If Steve Paddock was a Mexican who hauled 40 military-grade firearms across our southern border with him ten years ago, Tom Friedman would be publishing op-ed pieces calling on Congress to give him a path to citizenship.
There’s nothing to have stopped this psycho from getting a tractor trailer up to full speed down the Vegas Strip and plowing through a fence into the crowd at the concert. He probably would have killed and injured even more. Add some explosives the mix and even far worse. Gun control is not the solution. There can be no successful outlawing of evil in THIS world.
The shooter was a pilot and owned two airplanes. If his true intent was only to kill as many people as possible he would have used one of his planes to crash into the concert or some other big event, wouldn’t he?
Chaos is the democrat ladder to power. I don’t remember who the FReeper is that said that. He sure nailed it though. I’m without a doubt now as this being a democrat operation.

Idiotic. Last night my friend took me across town to a Buddhist meditation at the Unitarian church. The conversation opened with a discussion off the Vegas shooting, and the first man to speak said,
“Thank goodness it wasn’t a Muslim, just another angry white man.”
Apparently it’s not OK to hate muslims, who blow up people all the time, but just fine to hate white men, who do not.
Of course I will never go there again. Held my tongue because the buddhists were not part of that church and they are very sweet, dear, and intelligent little old ladies. It’s the idiot liberal unitarians who are jerks.
There have been efforts made to reduce pedestrian vehicle accidents in Vegas. I vaguely even recall someone deliberately driving on the sidewalk (not the drunk hostess).
There are skywalk bridges to cross intersections. Been over a decade since I was there, can’t recall if there are barriers on the sidewalks on the Strip.
Mr.Friedman, you lecture Americans on the Second Amendment, then leave your office at the New York Times, wave to the security guards on duty there, go back to your guarded mansion and neighborhood. You, of course, don’t need to be armed because you are surrounded by paid protectors. You might feel different if you lived in a remote area frequented by drug manufacturers, human coyotes and their cargo or in a neighborhood at ground zero of the latest gang war. But obviously you make the mistake most easterners make, which is to prescribe the conditions and restrictions you want without regard to how it affects people who live elsewhere and under much different conditions. By all means, disarm your guards and unlock your estate gate but don’t tell others how to protect themselves, their families and their property.
